Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotisha, is a traditional Hindu system of astrology. It is based on the ancient Vedas, a collection of Hindu scriptures, and is one of the oldest astrological systems in the world. In Vedic astrology, the positions of the planets at the time of an individual's birth are used to make predictions about their future and understand their personality and tendencies. Vedic astrology uses a different zodiac than Western astrology, and the interpretation of planetary positions and their effects is also slightly different. Some practitioners of Vedic astrology also incorporate other elements such as gemstones and mantras into their consultations.
